DO NOT SWIM IN THE RIVER

The Parish Council has been notified that children who swam in the river  at Axford on Sunday have been ill with one hospitalised 

Please do not swim in the river . We have contacted ARK who advise that if children go in the river in wellies to "dip" or fish they must wash hands and face thoroughly before eating or drinking. There was a river school with Ramsbury Primary on Monday and no children have been ill so advice is to take care but swimming is inadvisable. There have been no sewage discharges into the river in the last ten days.
